More on our Recently Completed and Upcoming Events (2024)

1/ The 2023 NOTL Santa Clause Parade was completed on Saturday, December 9th, with Kinsmen members once again participating with a 'vintage car' themed float.

2/ The very popular Kinsmen Easter Egg Hunt was held on Saturday, March 30th, at 10:00 AM, under favourable (dry) weather conditions and excellent attendance by both volunteers and our young participants.

3/ Hwy 55 roadside cleanup (Virgil to Old Town) was completed on June 8 , 2024, with a September or October date yet to be scheduled.  

4/ The 2024 Show & Shine Car Show was successfully completed on Sunday, August 11th.  Despite a threatening rain forecast, over 415 show cars were registered prior to noon!  While down from our recent-record of 480+ cars in '23, it still proved to be a very successful event.  The morning remained dry and mostly sunny, with a brief shower around 1:30 PM.  This resulted in an earlier than normal departure for many of polished and "wanting-to-remain-spotless" cars.

Show-car vehicle entry fees remained at $10, with walk-in spectators set at $5 for those over 12 years -  11 and younger free (same as '23).  Onsite Parks Canada parking was again made available for spectators, and priced at $10 for full-day parking.   Activities included food & beer/wine tent, a 50/50 draw, Car Show T-shirts, Exhibitor Plaques, and free draws for local NOTL fresh peaches for all registered show cars. 

With this being our major annual fundraiser, profits generated will be going to support our upcoming year's National and local projects (most notably, Cystic Fibrosis Canada -  https://www.cysticfibrosis.ca ).  We especially thank our over 70 volunteers, both Kinsmen & Kinsmen's family & friends, who donated their time before, during and after the event.  

Please note that next year's event is scheduled for Sunday, August 10th, 2025 (always planned for the 2nd Sunday of August).
